Queen of France
Formed from a largely uninteresting set of arranged meetings and random acquaintances, Queen of France began in the fall of 2010—motivated by nothing more than Iver Hillman having a bunch of demos lying around with no one to play them. The group has played many shows around the Twin-CIties in support of their five-song EP, “Thank You, I’ll Have Several Of Those” (recorded in the fall of 2011 and described by someone really important as “lovely stuff”). There’s nothing related to queens or the French here, but there is something to listen to. Their sound is somewhere between a ’60s pop outfit and a post-punk guitar band…with lots of pretty things.
